So we shall see
Well, yesterday was my birthday. No real celebration, which I do not mind. Just sat back and relaxed drinking a couple of 40's. Today I head out to talk to a recruiter. I have decided to quit my job in retail and go active army. So today I found out most of the information I need to know. I do not plan on leaving until after the holidays though. So, we shall see how this turns out.

What the...
Exactly how I feel today. Last friday, I had to take one of my soldiers to Fort Huachuca to the medical facility to get him evaluated. We had to reschedule for Oct 10-11. This is to get him discharged and start getting disability for PTSD from being in Iraq. And to top it off, yesterday I received in the mail a subpoena for Oct 17th. I have to testify against this guy I got in a fight with. Of course the previous Sunday will be my second child's birthday and the following weekend I have drill, which means I have to work four 10 hour shifts at work....ugh. So things are not looking great for me next month. At least I have December to look forward to. 2 weeks off work to go to Germany for training. Until next time.

Sober
Yup, that is how it has been since Labor Day. Guess Reverand Mother finally got her prayers answered. After being home since Dec 05 and drinking nearly every day since, it is time to stop. That's all I have to say about that. Been working a lot lately, still trying to get the management pay. Yeah, I am considered a manager, but still hourly and not salary. Hopefully soon. Took the family to see Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer on Saturday. It was pretty good if you are into those kind of movies. Of course, as with all other comic book movies, it steers away from some "facts".
As far as military side, I am an E-6, Staff Sergeant. Right now I am focusing on becoming a warrant officer. All I have to do now is finish a 2 1/2 week course and then take an English CLEP test and then I can apply. Once approved, I will be nondeployable for 2 years. Also a 10K sign on bonus. So, hopefully I can accomplish all this within the next 6 months.
That be about it for now.

Wow, a new post
I know, I am nothing like some of these other bloggers that post multiple times a day or everyday. Unfortunately, where I work, I do not sit at desk with access to the internet. Anyways, there is nothing new going on with me at this time. Same old crap different day. I get up for work, come home and drink, go to sleep, and repeat. Well, maybe not everyday. I just hope that one day, life will get better.

good day
So, today I had a good day. Took the day off work, had to take the wife to an appointment, good results, and played 2 scratchers....won 14 dollars, well I wish it would have been the powerball that is now at 300 million. Anyaways, yesterday was my wife and my anniversary...8 years. Passed the 7 year hump...so they say. That is about it for now.

Cheater
Ok, so I know it is a bad thing to cheat. However, I have been threatened with a demotion if I do not pass this course for the military. First, I found a website that gave all the answers to every test imaginable. The only problem, he got caught and deleted it from his page. Two days before I searched. So, now I am stuck and have to have this finished by tomorrow morning. We will see how it goes and if I keep my rank. F them anyways, I'll file an IG complaint if anything happens.
On a lighter note, work was actually ok today.
Here's a joke I heard:
A vampire walks into a bar and asks for a cup of boiling hot water. The bartender says "I thought vampires only drank blood." The vampire proceeds to pull a tampon out of his cape and says " I'm having tea."

Hot! Hot! Hot!
For those of you that actually read this, I am in AZ. A suberb of Phoenix anyways. Today was one of the most recent hottest days. I went to work at 7am to realize, the AC did not work in the store. It was finally fixed at 1:30, but it will take at least 12 hours for the store to get to an agreeable temerature. On top of that, there were 12 pallets of load to do, which I unfortunately have to break down to distribute to the appropriate department. And of course, the warehouse is always hotter than that of the rest of the store. I finally left at 5pm. I can't wait for winter.

Nate-Nate
Today was my nephew's b-day...I love him, he is so cute. If anyone could see him, you would see goodness and kindness in everything. He is perfect. I love my nephew.

OMG
Like I am having a few beers now. I see I haven't posted in awhile, but who actually reads this? This is more like an open journal/diary for anyone to read. My life sucks. I had to borrow money from my father-in-law to catch up on bills because, well, I'll leave that out....but it is very disappointing. Anyways, my life is going to work, coming home, drinking beers, and repeat. Tomorrow, I have to pick a buddy up who is 2 hours away. He will stay with me for a few days and he has PTSD from Iraq. Then on Tuesday, I will take him home after I take him to my unit to fill out paperwork to get discharged. That is my life in a nutshell.

If you're reading this
This is the song of my life right now:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7ixC-LYDGc
For those of you on dial up...sucks to be you, but it is better with the music. Here are the lyrics:
If you’re reading this
My momma is sitting there
Looks like I only got a one way ticket over here
I sure wish I could give you one more kiss
War was just a game we played when we were kids
Well I’m laying down my gun
I’m hanging up my boots
I’m up here with God
And we’re both watching over you
So lay me down
In that open field out on the edge of town
And know my soul
Is where my momma always prayed that it would go.
If you’re reading this
I’m already home.
If you’re reading this
Half way around the world
I won’t be there to see the birth of our little girl
I hope she looks like you
I hope she fights like me
Stand up for the innocent and the weak
I’m laying down my gun
Hanging up my boots
Tell dad I don’t regret that i followed in his shoes
So lay me down
In that open field out on the edge of town
And know my soul
Is where my momma always prayed that it would go
If you’re reading this,
I’m already home
If you’re reading this,
There is going to come a day
You move on and find someone else
And that’s okay
Just remember this
I’m in a better place
Soldiers live in peace
And angels sing amazing grace
So lay me down
In that open field out on the edge of town
And know my soul
Is where my momma always prayed that it would go
If you’re reading this
If you’re reading this
I’m already home

Where does the time go
Exactly that. It seems all I do is get up for work, got work, go to bed, and repeat. Nothing too exciting has happened recently, at least nothing to say here for those that actually read this. Still waiting about the management thing, but it has only been 2 weeks now. I guess waiting for that is not going to be as fast as the days go by. This Saturday I have to work and then attend a birthday party...joy. Well, this post should get you yelling for more.

Sometimes, life sucks
As it says. Well, as I mentioned, I live payday to payday pretty much. Today, after I was paid, and paid bills and was broke, my wife blows a tire on her vehicle. Well, not really blown, but the tread came off the tire. Needless to say, I have no money to repair it, so I am frantically trying to make ends meet. We'll see. I may have to borrow money from the father-in-law to help us catch up on bills due to my work screwing me on my paychecks over the last month. It will be bliss when this is all done and taken care of.
Today in Phoenx, two news choppers were covering a chase through Phoenix streets. One helicopter lost navigation and clipped the other chopper. Both choppers went down. All 4 died. For all those in the Phoenix area, it was newschopper 15 (ABC) and newschopper 3 (a local station). God bless them and their families.
I will be heading to Germany for 2 weeks in December, might get a guest blogger?? I have AT. For those of you that don't know, I am in the Army Reserve...you know, one weekend a month and 2 weeks a year. I have been deployed twice. Once to Afghanistan and once to Iraq. Enough said. I will not be talking too much on military on this blog unless it has some funny stuff in it. No names of exact places or anything.
Enough said for now.

Bring on the rain
Finally, after all this time, it rained. It has rained off and on throughout the week in Phoenix and other areas of AZ, but it finally poured here....for about 15 minutes, but oh well. Well, about the decision of one job or another; The second place called me while I was at work, but I didn't answer nor have I called them back yet. The reason being was there was a conference call today at my job about how long it would take for me to get into management...not just me in particular, but other Managers in Training as well. So it sounds like about 2-3 months at most. So why quit now to go somewhere for a dollar more an hour and who knows how long it would take to get into management with them.
Besides, I have also been kicking around the idea of moving out of AZ sometime next year. So if I stay with this company and transfer to where I am going and I am a manger, they will help with moving cost. As a regular associate, they do not. So why waste time at a new place and leave? Anyways, like I said, it is just an idea I am kicking around in my head, because God knows I hate Phoenix.

One job or another?
See, I have been at this one job for over 8 years now. Finally I am in management training. A 6-month program for over a year. I get frustrated and call HR. They promoted people that got into the program after me and they are up for GM now. Because they are female, speak spanish, or are hispanic. The following week, I get overpayed. I report it to Payroll, because I feel it is a test on my integrity. Don't expect a check for the next 2 weeks. ok.
The following week, no checkstub, no direct deposit. Cool. The following week a paystub for $60. Ok, they got the rest of it. The following 2 weeks I was on military leave, so no paystubs. The week after I took vacation. So a week later, I expect a full check. Nope...$100. So I called payroll again to find out what happened. It turned out the first week of no paycheck, they "forgot" to put in my hours. Needless to say, I went the whole month of June without a paycheck.
I finally got the extra check last week. However, because of the frustration and me calling HR, I am going nowhere with this job. I went toan interview the other day with a competitor, and they will be paying me a lot more, with a lot more benefits, and a quicker way to promotion. I am waiting for the callback on Monday or Tuesday.
Until then, wish me luck.

nude little girls
If you got here, you're a freaking pervert. If you been here, it is ok. Let me start by saying, this blog was started on luck alone. What I mean by that is my brother had me guest blog on his acct and somehow I created one...wish I could change the name...I guess I'll wait until he comes back. So, if anyone has an idea of how to go about this, let me know.
Life in Iraq
Here's a good one. Let me first tell you the truth before I go into the story. I had appendicitis...hence the scar on the belly....and I fell on my friends boat, hence the scar on the forehead.
Now you know the situation. Here is the story:
So there I was...heading down Tampa Bay supply route on a convoy. All of a sudden, an IED went off. Piece of glass from the shrapnel caught me in the forehead. I looked over at my buddy...he was hurt. I grabbed him and carried him off to the side of the road. As I ran, I climbed over a small dune and a young Iraqi came up and stabbed me in the stomach with a bayonet. My buddy grabbed his pistol. POP POP! Shot him down.
Only reason I didn't get the purple heart...He turned out to be a friendly.
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!!
